Useful where it counts.

Most type is ordinary work: prices, names, labels, account numbers. Small details become very noticeable when they are wrong.

Money

Money lines up.

Turn on tabular figures and 0–9, $, £, ¥, ₹, and € all take the same amount of room. Prices and totals stop hopping around when the values change.

Make l look like l.

When Il1l is data, not an eye test, turn on ss02. It gives lowercase l a small foot in upright and italic. Off by default, exactly where it belongs.

It also covers ĺ · ļ · ľ · ŀ · ł · ḷ · ḻ, without changing the spacing.

How it is shipped

Each release is rebuilt from pinned source, checked across the full weight range, sanitized, and published with SHA-256 manifests.

One practical note: font managers may treat the variable, static, and pin builds as duplicates. Install the set you plan to use.

About

We started with a typeface we already liked.

Pivot Sans began with Inclusive Sans by Olivia King. We liked its warmth, its easy reading, and the fact that it never shouted for attention.

We needed better money columns, a handful of useful signs, and a clearer lowercase l for identifiers, so we made Pivot Sans and committed to maintaining it as its own family.

Pivot Sans is authored and maintained by Beacon Bay Technologies, Inc. Olivia King and the Inclusive Sans Project Authors remain credited for the original design.

It is released under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Use it, change it, and share it.
